Dr. Hannah Navarro

Welcome

I'm Dr. Hannah Navarro, and I'm happy that you have found my page. If you are here you likely are going through a difficult time and could use support. I understand how overwhelming life can be, and I believe we all could use some help from time to time. If therapy feels like what you need, then let's talk. We will work together for you to understand yourself and your challenges more deeply and help you move through them. I look forward to connecting and learning more about you.

Individuals

Most people have worked hard to get through their challenges on their own before coming to therapy. The perspective of a professional can shine light on areas that you feel stuck in and give new entry points. My work with individuals may focus on issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, self-esteem, family dynamics, navigating life transitions, relationship difficulties, and more.

Couples

Most couples don't start out angry, resentful, fighting, or disconnected - so how did we get there? I help couples to understand what happened in their relationship and how they came to the place they are now. As we understand that process, you will better be able to make decisions, heal from pain, and move forward in a way that feels best to you as a couple or as an individual.

I encourage couples to go beyond "communicating better" and learn how to deeply connect with one another. This includes doing the difficult work of facing truths of your relationships (which are often unspoken). I will help you to learn to be curious with one another and remain curious even during disagreements. These skills can take time to develop, but with consistency and an openness to doing the work - you will get there.

Parenting

I often help my clients navigate parenting difficulties. I understand the stress that parenting can be and I utilize the therapy space to understand why certain aspects of parenting are particularly stressful to you. We will talk through how parenting was modeled to you and help you determine how you would like to show up for your own children.

LDS

I specialize in working with LDS/Mormon clients, whether you're active, inactive, or post-Mormon. I understand how helpful it can be in therapy to sit with a professional who understands your culture and unique experiences in the LDS church. I often work with clients who have marginalized identities, are part of the queer community, are in mixed faith marriages, or are deconstructing. I particularly work well with clients who are curious about how their upbringing and experience influence them today. Together, we'll get to know your story in depth, helping you better understand who you are and who you want to become.

University Students

University can be an exciting time but also very challenging. Many people feel they should be "thriving" yet are struggling with uncertainty and expectations. I'm here to help you through this transition, help you understand the challenges that you are facing and how you may better approach them, and overall support your growth as you navigate these years.
